Auto Body Painter
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Autobody Painter who can also perform light bodywork as needed. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality finishes and can assist with minor repairs to help keep jobs moving efficiently through the shop.
Key Responsibilities
Painting & Refinishing:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces (sanding, masking, priming, sealing)
- Perform accurate color matching and paint mixing
- Apply basecoat, clearcoat, and specialty finishes
- Cut, buff, and polish as needed
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and consistency
- Maintain paint booth and equipment
Light Bodywork:
- Minor dent repair and panel straightening
- Small filler repairs and surface corrections
- Remove and reinstall trim and small components
- Assist with panel prep and minor part replacements
- Support body technicians with light repair tasks when needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of autobody painting experience
- Experience with light bodywork and minor collision repair
- Knowledge of modern paint systems (PPG, BASF, Axalta, Sherwin-Williams, etc.)
- Ability to properly featheredge, prime, and block sand
- Strong attention to detail and color-matching ability
- Ability to manage time and maintain production goals
- Valid driver’s license
Certifications (I-CAR, ASE) are a plus but not required.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
